About Supported Living in Worcestershire
Supported living is where a person with a disability gets the support they need to live in a home they own or are a tenant in. They can live alone or with others. The support people receive is personalised and centred on their needs.

The Brief
The brief for this project was to create 2 stories that showcase how successful supported living has been for local residents. Exploring how the residents have changed their lives and adapted to living independently

The Project
Speaking with SSH about the project we knew we had to explore the impact of supported living on the residents. How has it changed their lives? What have they achieved? What is life like now? We sat down with each individual who featured in the videos and listened to their story. This allowed us to really showcase their life now. We spent a lot of time shooting cut-aways, we wanted each video to tell a different story but have the same intimate feel as each other.

Following on from the success from our Extra Care stories we were asked to produce four videos for Supported living, we spent a lot of time in pre-production visiting the location and spending time with the families. We were working with adults with learning disabilities. We crafted four stories that followed their journey into supported living. We enjoyed working closely with each individual and the families. We wanted a real honest approach which comes across in each story.
